Welcome to my portfolio. My name is Filip Chudoba and I am a recent graduate of the University of Portsmouth’s Master of Science in Computer Games Technology program. I am a 3D artist with a focus on textures, and I am passionate about creating immersive and engaging experiences through the use of cutting-edge technology and innovative design principles. Prior to my Master’s studies, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Animation and VFX with First Class Honours from the University of Portsmouth in 2021. With a strong foundation in computer animation and VFX, as well as advanced game development, I am well-equipped to bring creative and technical expertise to any project. I am currently based in Prague and always open to new opportunities to collaborate with like-minded professionals. The hardest thing for me is to describe what I do on daily basis. I would describe it as a 3D Environment Development. It is a bit of everything – modelling, UV mapping, texturing, animating and scripting. For now, I am focusing on the airport, as that is what consists of my small business. During my school projects, I was also developing an organic environment with a high polycount basis, furniture, rooms, props… If I would have to choose just want the path, I want to go, I would select texturing. Either it’s procedural texture development or texturing the 3D model by itself, I always find it relaxing and exciting.
Working with a game engine is something really new. I have spent just a couple of months into this, however, I can see the potential in the future. The paradox is that I enjoy the scripting part more than creating the assets… If I think about that more, it is because of something new. Programming is something I always wanted to do and the opportunity to create something interactive sounds more than interesting. For now, I am producing games with a very simple concept, focusing on scripting by itself. In the future, I would like to combine Unreal Engine 4 with my 3D knowledge and start producing software for VR headsets and mobile AR for various sorts of customers.
Art, photography, graphics, design… those are things I was always connected with and known for them among my relatives, friends and clients. It is also a reason why this website was originally created for. I used to do wedding photos, logos, design solutions, but during that time, I found myself in 3D more. However, I am still by today using the knowledge and experience I’ve earned during the years. Nowadays it is a hobby. Wonderfull hobby. I love to visit galleries and then promote the inspiration into my own art. I am also using my knowledge in International Virtual Aviation Organization (IVAO) as a PR coordinator for Czech Division and HQ PR Advisor.
