Airports for Flight Simulators
Since founding ChudobaDesign in 2018, I’ve dedicated myself to developing detailed and immersive 3D airport environments for the X-Plane flight simulator. My portfolio includes several successful projects, with major airports like Prague, Hurghada, Bucharest, Gothenburg, and Bratislava among my most notable works.
My journey began with a passion for aviation and a commitment to enhancing the realism and enjoyment of flight simulation. Over the years, I’ve honed my skills in 3D modelling, texturing, and environment design to deliver high-quality products that meet the expectations of the X-Plane community. I continue to push the boundaries of what is possible in flight simulation, creating stunningly realistic airport environments and fostering a spirit of community and shared learning.
Beyond my commercial projects, I am also deeply involved in the X-Plane community. I actively contribute to the knowledge base by conducting research on undocumented features of the X-Plane SDK and sharing my findings on the forums. Notable contributions include my research on weather ground textures, which provides a comprehensive guide for developers looking to enhance the visual realism of their sceneries. Another significant contribution is my exploration of the “facades” system, offering insights into creating complex building structures using the X-Plane SDK. For detailed guides and discussions, check out my forum posts on weather ground textures here and the facades system here.
By sharing my research and expertise, I aim to support and inspire other developers in the community. My commitment to innovation and collaboration has solidified ChudobaDesign’s reputation as a leader in the field of 3D airport development for X-Plane.
